FISHING IN HOPE AND SURROUNDING AREAS Something for Beginners to Experts. In HOPE and In and around the Fraser Canyon


KAWKAWA LAKE: located in Hope B.C. Contains 99 Percent Kokanee plus some Cutthroat, Dolly Varden, Coho Juveniles and Suckers


SILVER LAKE: located 12 Km South of Hope, Via Flood Hope Road and the Silver Skagit Road


NAHATLATCH LAKE: Access from logging road north of North Bend. Travel 15 Km North and 20 km West to Hannah, Frances and Nahatlatch Lakes


AMERICAN CREEK: Small creek across Transcanada Hwy #1 approx 8 Km north of Hope. Best in June and July for Rainbow trout and Chinook salmon at mouth


ANDERSON CREEK: Crosses TransCanada Hwy #1 about 3 km south of Boston Bar.  Steel head in late

Winter/Early spring, Spring Salmon in June and July,DollyVarden and Rainbow Trout year round

COQUIHALLA RIVER: River flows in to Hope. Dolly Varden available all year


EMORY CREEK: Crosses TransCanada Hwy #1 about 18 km North of Hope. Best during late Spring and Fall for Dolly Varden


FRASER RIVER: Fraser bars are usually fished by spinning or bait fishing. Spring Salmon May through July, Sockeye Salmon in July , August, September, Coho and Steelhead November through March.

SKAGIT RIVER: Upper Skagit River via Hwy #3 about 20 miles east of Hope and the main river, Where it enters Ross Lake, Can be reached via the silver Skagit Road about 40 miles south of Silver Creek, just west of Hope. Good fly fishing, Opening in July


SILVERHOPE (SILVER ) CREEK: Good Estuary fishing as well as fishing the creek’s deep pools. Small run of winter Steelhead January—April, Summer Steelhead June– August. Few Dolly Varden all year located 3 km west of Hope off Flood Hope Rd
